On Friday night, the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers played a historic game in Los Angeles.

The two teams went into double overtime, and the Kings won by a score of 176-175.

According to NBA History, the Kings scored the third most points ever, while the Clippers scored the fourth most.

Kevin Huerter, who finished his night with 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 22 minutes of playing time, sent out a tweet after the victory.

Huerter tweeted: "Might have been the highest level game of basketball I’ve been apart of. Both teams. Shot making, execution, everything. LIGHT THAT BEAM"

The former Maryland star is in his first year with the Kings after being traded (via the Atlanta Hawks) over the offseason.

He is in the middle of a very productive season with averages of 14.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.

The 24-year-old is also shooting 47.9% from the field and 39.2% from the three-point range.

There is no question that Huerter has been a big reason for the Kings' success.

With the victory over the Clippers, they are now 34-25 in 59 games, which has them as the third seed in the Western Conference.

The franchise has not been to the postseason since 2006, but the drought is likely to end in 2023.

Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with a combined 87 points and 18 assists.

They will play their next game on Sunday night when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder.
