Kyle Kuzma's Brutally Honest Statement After Wizards-Magic Game

Josh Robbins of The Athletic reported what Kyle Kuzma said after Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Washington Wizards were in Florida facing off against the Orlando Magic.

They lost the game by a score of 139-120 and allowed the Magic to score 30+ points in every quarter.

After the game, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reported that Kuzma made a very honest statement about the team's defense.

Via Robbins: "Kyle Kuzma was asked by @TheAthleticNBA how this game got out of hand. His answer: "We can't guard a stop sign. That's kind of really what it boils down to. We let anybody get whatever they want on us. So, until we change that, then that's probably going to be the result.""

The Wizards had been on a nine-game losing streak before beating the Detroit Pistons on Monday.

They rank last in the NBA, allowing opponents to score nearly 125 points per game.

Kuzma had 23 points, three rebounds and six assists while shooting 9/20 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time.

With the loss to the Magic, the Wizards fell to 3-15 in their first 18 games, which has them as the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 1-9 over their previous ten games and 2-9 in the 11 games they have played on the road.

The Wizards and Magic will play (again) in Orlando on Friday evening.

Kuzma is in his third season with the franchise and is averaging 23.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 47.0% from the field.
