On Monday evening, the Miami Heat advanced to the 2023 NBA Finals when they beat the Boston Celtics on the road in Massachusetts by a score of 103-84.

They won the first three games of the Eastern Conference Finals but lost the following three, so the Celtics had all the momentum heading into Game 7 on their home floor.

That said, the Heat took control of the game from the jump, leading by seven points after the first quarter, and five players on the team scored in double-digits.

They will now head to Colorado to face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (Game 1 is on Thursday night).

Following the win, Hall of Famer (and Los Angeles Lakers legend) Magic Johnson sent out two tweets.

Johnson's first tweet: "Congratulations to Miami Heat owners Micky Arison and Nick Arison, Heat President and my former Coach Pat Riley, Coach Erik Spoelstra, Jimmy Butler and the entire Miami Heat team for advancing to the NBA Finals!"

Johnson's second tweet: "The NBA Finals will feature the two players who dominated the NBA Playoffs this year, Nikola Jokić and Jimmy Butler."

Johnson has been very active on Twitter during the 2023 NBA Playoffs, tweeting his thoughts after games.

The Heat are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, so they have pulled off one of the best postseason runs in NBA history.

In addition to the Celtics (the second seed), they have beaten the Milwaukee Bucks (the first seed) and the New York Knicks (the fifth seed).
