On Monday evening, the Miami Heat defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 119-114 in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series (at home in Florida).

Six-time NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler was brilliant and put up a career-high 56 points to go with nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 41 minutes of playing time.

Many players and fans were commenting on his performance on Twitter, including Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Joel Embiid.

Embiid tweeted: "PLAYOFF MF HIMMY BUTLER"

Embiid and Butler were briefly teammates on the 76ers (during the 2019 season), and they lost in the second round of the NBA Playoffs to Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors.

With the victory, the Heat are now up 3-1 in the series and can advance to the second round by beating the Bucks in Game 5 on Wednesday night in Milwaukee.

The Bucks are the first seed in the Eastern Conference and had the best record in the NBA this season (58-24), while the Heat are the eighth seed.

Despite an up-and-down season, the Heat have been to the Conference Finals in two of the previous three seasons (they made the NBA Finals in 2020).

They are also 29-14 in the 43 games they have hosted on their home floor in Miami, Florida.

If the Heat lose Game 5, the following game will be played back in Miami on Friday night.

Whoever wins the series will play either the New York Knicks or Cleveland Cavaliers.

Butler is in his 12th season in the NBA (and his fourth playing for the Heat).
