Russell Westbrook Made NBA History In Clippers-Jazz Game

Russell Westbrook moved up on the NBA's all-time three-pointers list.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers faced off against the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City. 

The Clippers won the game by a score of 117-103, and Kawhi Leonard led the way with 41 points, five rebounds and five assists.  

Russell Westbrook had five points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks while shooting 2/7 from the field and 1/2 from the three-point range in 17 minutes of playing time.

During the game, he made NBA history by moving ahead of Dell Curry (1,245) and tying Hedo Türkoğlu (1,246) for 83rd on the all-time three-pointers list

Following Türkoğlu, the next player for Westbrook to pass will be Derek Fisher (1,248). 

Westbrook is now averaging 11.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 43.2% from the field and 27.3% from the three-point range in 21 games.  

As for the Clippers, they improved to 11-10 in their first 21 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference. 

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game winning streak.  

Following the Jazz, the Clippers will play their next game on Monday when they host the Portland Trail Blazers in California. 

Westbrook was the fourth pick in the 2008 NBA Draft out of UCLA and is in his 16th season in the league. 

In addition to the Clippers, the 2017 MVP has also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers.
