Kings And Clippers Play Historic NBA Game On Friday Night.

The Sacramento Kings defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 176-175 in double overtime on Friday night in what turned out to be the second-highest-scoring game in NBA history.

The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers played the final game of what was an eight-game Friday night for the NBA, but this game turned out to be one of the best games in league history.

Defeating the Clippers 176-175 in double overtime, the Kings not only set a new franchise-record for points in a game, but these two teams combined for the second highest-scoring game in NBA history.

The 351 combine points scored by these two teams trails only the 370 total points scored by the Denver Nuggets and Detroit Pistons in 1983, a game in which the Pistons won 186-184.

Perhaps the craziest part of this game was the fact that the Clippers led the Kings 147-136 with 2:46 remaining in the fourth quarter.

It seemed like Los Angeles was going to put a bow on this game, but then De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk kept Sacramento in the game, only for Monk to hit a 25-foot jump-shot to tie the game with two seconds left and force overtime!

The hot shooting from the Kings' two guards continues in both overtime periods, as they combined for 19 points in overtime to lift Sacramento to a massive victory.

De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk combined for 87 points in this game, as Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 78 points. In his Clippers debut, Russell Westbrook finished with 17 points, 14 assists and 5 rebounds, fouling out of the game in double overtime.

Entering the night, the Kings were the 3-seed in the Western Conference and the Clippers were the 4-seed.

After this win though, the Kings now sit 1.5 games up on the 4-seed, but this spot now belongs to the Phoenix Suns, not the Clippers.

These two franchises will face off one last time on March 3 in Sacramento.
