Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Made OKC Thunder History Against Pacers

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made Oklahoma City Thunder history.

On Tuesday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder hosted the Indiana Pacers in Oklahoma.  

They got off to a slow start to the game in the first half and lost by a score of 122-111. 

Despite the loss, superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a good game with 30 points, ten rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block while shooting 12/27 from the field in 37 minutes of playing time. 

He also made OKC Thunder history.   

Via NBA History: "Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recorded his 48th 30+ point game tonight, the most in a single season in franchise history, passing Kevin Durant (47, 2009 and 2013)."

Gilgeous-Alexander is having a sensational season with averages of 31.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 54.4% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range in 64 games.  

With the loss, the Thunder dropped to 45-20 in 65 games, which still has them tied with the Denver Nuggets for the first seed in the Western Conference. 

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are 26-7 in the 33 games they have hosted in Oklahoma City. 

Following the Pacers, the Thunder will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. 

As for the Pacers, they are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and improved to 37-29 in 66 games. 

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
