Passing Michael Jordan? Steph Curry Is Closing In On NBA History

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is very close to passing Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan on an all-time list.

Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is arguably one of the ten best players to ever play in the NBA and is widely regarded as the best shooter in league history.

That said, the four-time NBA Champion is also an excellent passer, who currently ranks 51st on the all-time assists list (5,632).

He is just two assists away from passing Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan for 50th on the list (Jordan finished his career with 5,633 assists).

Right now, Curry is averaging 6.4 assists per contest, so he should pass Jordan with ease the next time he plays in a game.

The two-time MVP has missed each of the last five games due to a leg injury.

His full averages on the season are 29.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 38 games.

He is also shooting an extraordinary 49.5% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range.

Despite being 34 years old, Curry has been playing some of the best basketball of his career this season.

However, the Warriors as a whole have not played up to their typical standards and entered the All-Star break with a 29-29 record in 58 games.

They are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference but only one game behind the Dallas Mavericks for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).

On Thursday night, the defending NBA Champions will return to action when they visit LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
