Huge News About Deandre Ayton's Future With The Phoenix Suns

According to Chris Haynes of the NBA on TNT and Bleacher Report, the Phoenix Suns "plan" to keep Deandre Ayton going into the 2023-24 season.

The Phoenix Suns have been among the best teams in the NBA over the past three seasons.

Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker have made up an elite trio that went to the NBA Finals in 2021 and had the best record in the league during the 2022 regular season.

This past year, the Suns traded for 13-time NBA All-Star Kevin Durant, and most recently, they moved Paul in a blockbuster deal with the Washington Wizards to acquire Bradley Beal.

There have been many rumors about Ayton's future with the organization, but according to Chris Haynes of the NBA on TNT and Bleacher Report, the "plan" is to keep Ayton going into the 2023-24 season.

Via Haynes on Sunday: "Phoenix Suns are moving forward with the plan of keeping Deandre Ayton to play alongside Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal, league sources tell @NBAonTNT@BleacherReport."

The former Arizona star was the first pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and has spent his entire five-year career with the Suns.

He is coming off another productive season with averages of 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 58.9% from the field in 67 regular season games.

While Ayton has never made an All-Star Game, he is clearly among the best centers in the league.

The Suns finished the 2022-23 season as the fourth seed in the Western Conference, and they defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round (but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round).
