Sim Racers, are you ready for the next season of F1 sim racing? Codemasters’ annual F1 series is coming back with a bang this year, promising a "fresh start" for the much-anticipated F1 23 game. With a teaser image already making waves on social media, it looks like the wait for the latest instalment of the popular racing game franchise is almost over.

Ahead of the opening Bahrain Grand Prix, EA Sports has shared a sneak peek of F1 23 on social media. The teaser image showcases a side profile of a bare carbon-fibred 2023 F1 car, accompanied by the caption "New season, fresh start." Though no additional details were shared, the image strongly hints at an official reveal coming soon.

With F1 22 already on the books, the question on everyone’s minds is what Codemasters’ has in store for F1 23. Given the "fresh start" tease, it seems likely that radical changes are on the horizon. Could this be the next-gen upgrade we’ve all been waiting for?

F1 Life mode, introduced in F1 22, was a divisive addition to the series, offering driveable supercars, customisable player spaces, and microtransactions for clothing items. For F1 23, however, Codemasters is promising something even more exciting, with hints of a complete overhaul to the graphics and physics engine.

Another exciting development is the return of Breaking Point, which is expected to be a headline feature of F1 23. Fans are eagerly anticipating whether the story of Aiden Jackson will continue or if new characters will be introduced.

And let’s not forget the two new tracks set to debut in the 2023 season in the shape of the Losail International Circuit and the Las Vegas Street Circuit. With F1 23 representing the 2023 F1 season, it’s safe to assume these tracks will be faithfully replicated in the game. However, it remains to be seen if they will be available on day one or added post-launch.

F1 23 Game Release Date

As for the release date, there’s no official word yet on when F1 23 will be available. While the previous F1 22 was released in July, the teaser suggests F1 23 could hit the shelves even earlier, possibly in June. We’ll have to wait for the official reveal to get a confirmed release date.
