F1 fans have gone crazy after the Australian Grand Prix. But it wasn't for the immense performance from Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton or the fact that Fernando Alonso got yet another well-deserved podium. No, it was actually over a dark patch on Alonso's Aston Martin racing suit, which looked like the driver had peed himself during the race.

The Spaniard finished in P3 after a confusing race finale, bringing home his third podium of the season. But when winner Max Verstappen was sat in the cool-down room with Lewis Hamilton and Alonso, fans noticed an apparent wet patch on the racing suit of the Aston racer.

"I DIDNT EVEN REALISE WHY WOULD YOU SHOW ME," one fan posted to Twitter in response to the photo.

Another added: "When nature calls you have to go!"

A third joked - and I really laughed at this reference to Daniel Ricciardo- "It’s real sweat, he is a high performance athlete, athletes sweat, sweat baby, kikiki, rrraaaa, sweat sweat, ooo ooo" [sic]

While F1 drivers have in the past peed in their racing suits during a race - after all, how long do they want a pit stop to be?? - Fernando didn't do that this time. It's actually just a rather poor design of the Aston Martin race suit.

This didn't stop social media from going mad, however.
