Christian Horner - Red Bull

Recently, former F1 driver Johnny Herbert voiced concerns over Christian Horner's leadership at Red Bull Racing, indicating that Horner's "stubbornness" could be causing more harm than good to the team. Herbert pointed out that the focus of the team seems to have shifted away from the drivers and their performances on the track to what he termed the "Christian Horner show."

Herbert's comments come at a tumultuous time for Red Bull Racing, with Horner at the centre of a controversy involving allegations of misconduct. The accuser has now taken a significant step by hiring a professional PR firm to represent her interests, further intensifying the scrutiny on Horner and the team. This move, coupled with the lodging of a formal complaint with the FIA's ethics committee and an appeal against Red Bull's clearance of Horner, marks a new chapter in the saga that has captivated the F1 world.

Herbert explained to BetIdeas.com:

"Against that you have the stubbornness of Christian to try to stick it out. That process is ruining Red Bull. Horner was part of the team that built Red Bull. Now he is very close to being part of destroying it, which is a real shame. They are a very popular team around the world. And Max is at the heart of it all.

"It is the Christian Horner show. It should be all about the drivers on the track. It is not like that at the moment.

"There is a point where you have Red Bull say, ‘What is best for us longer term?’ And that is not losing Max. It is deciding that the Christian Horner show has to come to an end."

Despite the allegations and the resulting media frenzy, Red Bull Racing has stood by Horner, maintaining that their internal investigation cleared him of any wrongdoing. Horner himself has expressed how challenging the allegations have been on a personal level, highlighting the strain it has put on him and his family.
