The footage of a brawl between fans at the Mexican Grand Prix, which made its way to social media, has resulted in severe consequences for the instigator. In the video, a fan, believed to be supporting Red Bull and Sergio Perez, was seen physically assaulting another individual wearing a Ferrari team t-shirt.

The violent encounter reached its peak before other fans in the vicinity stepped in to break up the fight. The aggressor was captured on camera landing multiple punches to the head of the supposed Ferrari fan.

F1 journalist Chris Medland has shared an update on the situation, stating:

"I’m told by F1 that the fan who attacked the Ferrari fans was ejected and given a life ban."

The Mexican Grand Prix was already tense due to the early exit of local favourite Sergio Perez, following a collision with Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. Despite Perez's immediate dismissal of any blame on Leclerc, it appears that not all fans shared his sentiment, leading to the unfortunate incident.

While the passion of the fans is a well-known aspect of the Formula 1 experience, it is crucial to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all attendees. The lifetime ban issued in this case sends a strong message that violent behaviour will not be tolerated at Formula 1 events.
