Max Verstappen claimed the final Pole Position of 2022, leading an all-Red Bull front row for the Abu Dhabi GP.

Verstappen suffered from niggling issues earlier in qualifying, struggling to maximise the performance within his machine due to a lack of grip in Q2.

Sergio Perez finished in P2 just ahead of rival Charles Leclerc, two drivers set to contest for the second position in the drivers' standings.

The Mercedes duo failed to deliver on their promising pace in free practice, taking 5th and 6th place to conclude a season of frustration and inconsistency for the Silver Arrows.

Lando Norris once again demonstrated his calibre in the midfield, finishing ahead of Alpine's Esteban Ocon to finish as the 'best of the rest' in Abu Dhabi qualifying.

Sebastian Vettel's final qualifying session was one of his strongest this year, maximising the relatively mediocre pace within his AMR22.

Vettel has driven at a strong level this year - especially in the second half - and will look to convert an impressive qualifying into more points on Sunday.

The battle for 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th in the standings continues, with Alfa Romeo and Aston Martin fighting to claim P6 in the final round tomorrow.

Yuki Tsunoda's qualifying result (P12) puts him within touching distance of points tomorrow, so Haas will be weary about the chances of losing 8th in the standings.

Regardless, plenty of stories are poised to finally play out in the final race of 2022 in Abu Dhabi.
