F1 News: This Stat Will Blow Your Mind On Max Verstappen Performance This Season

Max Verstappen not only dominates the Drivers' Standings but also the Constructors' Championship

As usual, Max Verstappen dominated the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring by winning the sprint race, securing the pole position, and winning the main race. Though this 'habit' of his has become quite boring for many fans, there are a few facts about his performance this season that could blow your mind.

If you take into account the points in his kitty and then compare them with the team points in the Constructors' Championship, it would give a clear idea about the scale of his achievements this year. No doubt that wins have been a constant this year but where they've brought him is something to fathom.

Former Formula 1 driver and presenter Karun Chandhok posted an interesting observation on his Twitter account about the Dutch racing driver. He wrote:

"Just for context, Max would be leading the Constructors Championship by himself by 51 points"

If you think about it, Karun is right. Verstappen alone has a 51-point lead over Mercedes in the Constructors' Championship. Going further down the list, he leads over Aston Martin by 57 points and 71 points over Ferrari.

Of course, courtesy of such supremacy is also the Red Bull RB19 Formula 1 car which has been an inspiration for many teams like Mercedes, Ferrari, and Williams that continue to upgrade their F1 cars on the lines of RB19.

If you look back, Hamilton displayed such domination a few years ago when he had more points that the team in P2 in the Constructors' Championship. Speaking of Hamilton, the British racer too revealed recently that he had not witnessed any team dominating the sport like Red Bull, despite him having years of superiority.

Verstappen secured his fifth win in a row at the Austrian GP which adds his total wins this season to seven!
