The Drive To Survive Trailer Is Here - "F*** 'Em All" Says Daniel Ricciardo
Netflix have published the final Drive to Survive trailer ahead of its release next Friday 24 February.
According to Netflix's YouTube season five will be:
"Offering unprecedented access, this season will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for victory in one of the sport’s most dramatic seasons to date."
The trailer shows some of the highs and lows of the 2022 season, including Zhou Guanyu's horrific crash at the British Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo's hilarious entry into the Austin GP paddock, and Mercedes' ongoing struggles.
The trailer also hints at the drivers who parted ways with their teams at the end of the season - Sebastian Vettel, who headed into retirement, Ricciardo who has left McLaren, and Mick Schumacher who lost his seat with Haas.
Two-time champion Max Verstappen had previously boycotted the streaming service as he felt they had twisted some situations. However, he has made a return for the fifth season. In an interview with Racing365.com, Verstappen explained why he came back to the show:
"I spoke with them of course before I was going to give an interview.
"I hope that they understood my message, and I also know that especially being a World Champion, you have to be part of something like that.
"So I gave them like 30 minutes to one hour of an interview and I hope that they are going to use it.
"I don't know when I'm going to watch it, but I hope they are happy. And I hope that I can be happy after watching it - I know it is important to F1 as well for growing the sport in general.

Drive to Survive: Season 5 will be released to Netflix on Friday 24 February.
