F1 Rumour: Big Names Announced For Andretti Cadillac Formula One Team Management

Quite naturally, the names have appeared in the news before.

Andretti Cadillac has cleared one step to join the F1 grid as the 11th team after receiving approval from the FIA and as a result, the team has a significant part of its technical management in place with names being reported.

The FIA only gave the green signal to Andretti Cadillac, thus rejecting other applicants who wanted to be a part of the premier class. While the approval from the governing body is a huge step forward, it does not yet confirm the participation of the team in the sport.

The American team is yet to surpass checks from the Formula One Management (FOM) and the rest of the Formula 1 teams. However, the initial approval can be seen as a mark of Andretti Cadillac being a part of the F1 grid in 2026, and the team has been moving forward with that in mind.

Though it is still in the starting blocks, Michael Andretti has been busy making necessary arrangements to race in Formula 1, even before the FIA approval was announced officially. He partnered with Cadillac and even signed an engine deal with Alpine.

It must've been a tricky situation because with the lack of an official confirmation from the governing body, the team could not start operations but at the same time, they had to be ready to begin work as soon as the light turned green. Despite the light not being fully green yet, F1 technical analyst Craig Scarborough lists names that would form the technical management at Andretti on social media platform X.

The Technical Expert Staff

According to Scarborough, Nick Chester, John McQuilliam and Jon Tomlinson are the technical experts who currently work out of Andretti's Formula E UK headquarters in Banbury.

Chester could possibly be the technical director at Andretti Cadillac- a former Renault engineer with experience working for Mercedes' Formula E team. McQuilliam is listed in the post as being chosen for the role of chief designer. He has worked for Williams, Arrows, and Jordan in the past. Lastly, Tomlinson is said to be the head of aerodynamics, having worked previously at Jordan, Renault, and Williams.

It remains to be seen if the announcement from Scarborough is a rumour or a fact.
