With less than a week away from the start of the UFL’s inaugural training camp, teams are making last-second adjustments to their rosters as they build their depth at all positions.

On Monday night, the league announced that five players had signed with a total of four teams:

  • CB Tenny Adewusi (Arlington Renegades)
  • DT Darrius Moragne (Arlington Renegades)
  • RB Trey Williams (Memphis Showboats)
  • DE Kwabena Bonsu (San Antonio Brahmas)
  • DT Austin Faoliu (St. Louis Battlehawks)

Adewusi gives the Renegades depth in the secondary as a difference-making cornerback. He started nine of 10 games last year for the San Antonio Brahmas, making 50 tackles and two interceptions. This will be his second stint with the Renegades after starting all five games in 2020 for Bob Stoops and racking up 22 tackles. He also played in the NFL with the New York Giants in 2019.

The last time Moragne took the field was with the Pittsburgh Maulers in 2022, and he finished the year with 16 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He was also associated with TSL, playing for the Jousters in 2021. In college, he attended Kansas where he made 45 tackles and 2.5 sacks in two seasons with the Jayhawks.

Williams, who played at Texas A&M, was one of the top running backs in the USFL after playing the past two years with the New Jersey Generals. He rushed for 579 yards and two scores in 2022 while adding 205 yards and two touchdowns last year. Williams also had stints in the XFL with the Seattle Dragons in 2020 and the Alliance of American Football with the San Antonio Commanders in 2019, rushing for a combined 327 yards and two touchdowns.

Bonsu is making his debut in professional football after attending Army from 2018 through 2022. He finished his college career with 129 tackles and 7.5 sacks in 51 games.

The Faoliu signing was reported earlier Monday. He started 10 games for the Seattle Sea Dragons last year, contributing 24 tackles and one sack and earning an All-XFL selection. His previous stops in the NFL include the Seattle Seahawks and the Dallas Cowboys.

Training camp for the UFL begins Friday.
