Angels' Mike Trout Makes Exciting Announcement on Social Media

Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout and his wife, Jessica, made a special announcement on social media Thursday afternoon.

The couple announced that they are expecting a baby boy, promoting their first-born Beckham to big-brother status. Beckham was born on July 30, 2020.

Trout made the birth of his firstborn a memorable one. When he returned from paternity leave on Aug. 5, he hit a home run in his first at-bat against the Seattle Mariners and the Angels emerged victorious by a score of 5-4.

Angels fans fell in love with Mike and Jessica's love story. The two met in high school and Mike proposed to his wife in 2016 with the help of some skywriters. They were married in 2017.

When they announced their pregnancy with Beckham, both took to Instagram sharing their love for each other and unborn child.

"To my wife, thank you for being so brave for us both. Your love and strength for our son is something I never could have imagined," Mike recently shared on his Instagram.  "I can't wait to watch you become a Mom."

Jessica added, "The thought of watching you become a Dad to our little man makes my heart so happy—I can't wait to watch you grow in your new role, there's no one I'd rather embark on this new journey as 'parents' with than you!"
