Angels News: Ron Washington Provides Update On When Anthony Rendon Will Return

Rendon went down with a groin injury recently.

Angels star third baseman Anthony Rendon has been dealing with a groin injury this spring, missing multiple games in the process. It's an unfortunate time for the veteran third baseman, as injuries have already taken their toll on him this season.

However, there is some good news about when he will return to the field. Halos manager Ron Washington said that he is planning on playing Rendon tomorrow against the San Diego Padres.

Rendon has been out for a few games, but thankfully, the injury never seemed to be too serious. But getting him back into the lineup will be very crucial for this team, as he needs at-bats to get up to game speed.

The veteran's motives in the game of baseball have been questioned all offseason, so this injury doesn't help anything. He wants to play, but always seems to be injured in the worst possible times.

He is making a lot of money once again this season, so the hope is that he can perform up to expectations this year. The Halos are counting on his contributions, even if they likely should have learned not to a while back.
