Angels Security Confiscates Negative Sign from Young Fan

Where's the lie though?

Angels fans continued to express their disgust with the team even on the final day of the season.

One young fan used a sign to voice his displeasure with the Halos and wound up getting the organizational insult confiscated later in the game.

Stadium security didn't take too kindly to the fan's sign yet he remains completely justified in a desire for wholesale changes at Angel Stadium.

The Big A hasn't fielded a playoff team since 2014 and hasn't seen a playoff victory until 2009, nearly 15 years ago and before superstar outfielder Mike Trout was even drafted.

Trout's only playoff series ended in a sweep after the team went out in three games to the eventual AL champion Kansas City Royals.

Since that year the Halos haven't even crossed a .500 record and that unfortunately includes six seasons with Shohei Ohtani as an international free agent.

Anaheim continues to boggle the minds of many around sports due to their big market and talented players but their subsequent failure to field a competitive team.

Ohtani, try as he did, remained just one player on the 25 man roster and they failed to surround both him and Trout with the necessary support to aid their quest for playoff baseball.

The pursuit failed so spectacularly that the unicorn who many thought untouchable shut his season down prematurely due to both elbow and oblique injuries.

Now set for free agency the Japanese superstar is all but sure to leave Anaheim for a better organizational culture this offseason.

Though he may say the right things about the team, six seasons without playoff baseball surely aged the WBC MVP well past his 29 years.

All these issues span from the top and it's time the organization stopped worrying about signs from fans to start looking in the mirror for who's to blame for said reactions.
