Arte Moreno Doesn't Plan on Selling the Angels

Angels fans don't want to see this.

The Los Angeles Angels fanbase is frustrated with owner Arte Moreno and rightfully so.

They are starting their first Spring Training without Shohei Ohtani and Moreno is reportedly holding the team back from signing reigning Cy Young winner Blake Snell.

Moreno has had a quiet offseason and the fans are upset. In a recent fan survey taken by The Athletic,  1,979 respondents participated in the poll, and 67.6 percent agreed that Moreno's work as an owner has been poor. A whopping 95 percent said he should sell the team.

On Wednesday, Moreno conducted an interview with a local news outlet at Angels camp. When asked by Sam Blum from The Athletic if he was planning on selling, Moreno gave a one-word answer: "No."

Moreno's approval rating has steadily declined over the years. The Angels have no stadium deal in place and no path to winning. The only path they have is Mike Trout long-term, but he can't win alone.

With 95 percent of the survey-takers wanting him to sell, it should show him that the fans are unhappy and don't trust him to make the right decisions moving forward.

However, after putting the team on the market last offseason, he took them off and remained in charge for another down season.

If Moreno truly doesn't plan on selling in the foreseeable future, then he needs to decide if he is in to win or in it or not. The fans are tired of losing and if something doesn't change soon, Angel Stadium could see fewer fans walking through the gates for the 2024 season.
