How to Watch Houston Astros and White Sox Opening Day, Channel, Stream and Lineup

The Houston Astros will host the Chicago White Sox on Opening Day. Here is how to watch all the action!

The Houston Astros will begin their 2023 MLB season on Thursday evening when they host the Chicago White Sox on Opening Day. It is a day long in the making after an eventful spring that included many of their players participating in the World Baseball Classic.

Houston will be without Jose Altuve, Lance McCullers Jr. and Michael Brantley on Opening Day as all three will begin their seasons on the injured list.

However, Framber Valdez, the new Astros ace after the departure of Justin Verlander, as well as Kyle Tucker and Yordan Álvarez are expected to lead the way.

One also can't forget about third baseman Alex Bregman who is hoping to put together an MVP-caliber season.

Thursday's game is scheduled to begin at 6:08 p.m. CT with Valdez slated to start.

The game will be shown live on ESPN as it is a nationally broadcast game. It can also be listened to on the radio at SportsTalk 790 or the MLB app.

Here is the starting line up for the Astros on Thursday:

Jeremy Peña 6

Alex Bregman 5

Yordan Álvarez 7

Jose Abreu 3

Kyle Tucker 9

Yainer Diaz DH

Jake Meyers 8
