The Chicago Cubs could soon see one of their stars return after a successful stint with Triple-A Iowa while rehabbing.

The Chicago Cubs could soon welcome back star outfielder Seiya Suzuki according to the Chicago Tribune. This isn't new news, but the fact that Suzuki could return this weekend during their West Coast road trip is encouraging.

Manager David Ross said that would be the "best-case scenario" but also noted that “we’re trying to get him as built up as possible … making sure he feels comfortable.”

Ross also mentioned a 50-60 at-bat threshold that most players meet in MLB Spring Training prior to the season, so Suzuki getting near that number appears to be the goal.

This would be a pretty quick return for Suzuki, but the Cubs offense, despite it being a bit better of late, could really use his bat.

With Suzuki's return, it appears likely that Miles Mastrobuoni would be the casualty. He has options and has not performed this season.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to Chicago's roster.
