Major League Baseball's Spring Training has been underway for over a week as multiple Miami Marlins make their first impressions for the 2024 season. Veterans are working to keep their roles and young stars are fighting their way into bigger ones.

Here are three players that have stood out a few games in:

Eury Pérez

Perez had a standout start to 2024 after just a couple of outings. MLB listed him as someone who has jumped off of the screen when it comes to StatCast. The 20-year-old pitcher is averaging 98 miles per hour on his fastball. He is important to the future of the franchise and is showing potential to be someone who can regularly hit triple digits with his heater. Perez had a 3.15 earned run average last season in his first 19 career outings.

Jazz Chisholm Jr.

After working his way to an All-Star bid as a starter in 2022 and even getting to grace the cover of MLB The Show 23, Chisholm took a big step back in 2023. He is off to a fast start in 2024 with four hits in his first 10 at-bats, including two doubles. If he can get his strikeout rate down this season, he'll be back to generating more buzz. The 26-year-old entering his fifth season in the MLB still has star potential.

Jesus Luzardo

Luzardo is a potential day-one starter for the Marlins and has had the best start to Spring Training of any pitcher on the roster. Through five innings pitched, he has yet to give up a run. He has walked one and given up two hits while striking out five batters. Out of the team's starters last season, Luzardo had the second-best ERA behind Perez.
