The Good, Bad and Ugly From Cincinnati Reds 10-4 Loss to Colorado Rockies
The Reds lost to the Rockies 10-4 on Saturday.
Hunter Greene got the start and Noelvi Marte made his spring training debut. Here's the good, bad and ugly from the loss:
The Good:
Elly De La Cruz was a star in this matchup. He hit a home run 470-feet in his first at-bat of the game. It was his first home run of the spring. He also walked twice and finished the day 1-for-1.
Marte also had a good debut, finishing 1-for-2 with a single. Tony Kemp hit a triple in this game, which was a huge moment for the Reds despite being stranded on third-base.
Nick Martinez was the highlight of the pitchers, tossing three innings of shutout ball. He had five strikeouts and allowed two hits.
The Bad:
Greene had an underwhelming start, giving up two hits, two runs and two walks in three innings of work. He did have two strikeouts.
The Ugly:
Lucas Sims struggled, giving up five runs in 2/3 of an inning. The Reds wouldn't have won regardless, but his struggles were the lowlight of the day.
