Jalen McDaniels Downgraded Ahead of Cavaliers Match

Ahead of Wednesday's match in Cleveland, the 76ers have downgraded Jalen McDaniels.

On Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers begin their three-game road trip with a matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who they lead in the Eastern Conference standings by three and a half games.

In their last time out, the Sixers took on the Washington Wizards, looking to continue their four-game win streak. That they would more than do, taking down the Wizards, 112-93, in a match that was an all-around offensive display from Philadelphia.

Joel Embiid led the scoring charge with 34 points on 57 percent shooting while grabbing eight blocks and making four blocks before getting to rest for the entire fourth quarter.

One of the bigger moments for the Sixers came in the opening minutes of the second quarter when Jalen McDaniels was driving to the basket when he was bumped by Deni Avdija.

Following the collision, McDaniels went to the free throw line, wincing in pain, and was taken into the locker room in the following play.

McDaniels wouldn't return to the game with a right hip contusion.

This injury continues to plague the 25-year-old, who has been listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday's match due to his right hip.

The recent acquisition did not attend practice on Tuesday despite head coach Doc Rivers believing the injury to not be all that serious.

Since joining the Sixers at the trade deadline, McDaniels has been a staple of the lineup, getting 15 minutes per game, averaging six points and four rebounds per game, helping give the team a boost off the bench.
