Miami Heat Sharpshooter’s Playing Status vs. Sixers Revealed

Will Duncan Robinson face the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday?

As the Miami Heat closed out the 2023-2024 NBA season, they lacked the services of their veteran sharpshooter, Duncan Robinson.

Dealing with left facet syndrome, Robinson's five-game streak of playing ended on April 9. After Robinson went inactive for the first time in weeks, he missed four games in a row as the season winded down.

Since Robinson was out for the team’s season finale on April 14 against the Toronto Raptors, the veteran’s playing status for Wednesday’s Play-In action between the Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers was in question.

According to Miami’s injury report, the Heat are confident Robinson is good to go.

Listed as probable, Robinson is likely to take on Philadelphia once again this season.

When the Sixers and the Heat met on April 4 in Miami, Robinson got the nod to start. Coming off of two 28-minute shifts prior, Robinson failed to see the court for more than 20 minutes against the Sixers. As a result, he struggled to get it going.

Putting up just four shots from the field with all but one of his attempts coming from beyond the arc, Robinson averaged just 25 percent from the field. None of deep shots were successful. Robinson ended the game with two points. The Sixers defeated the Heat by four, in a matchup that was critical to the Eastern Conference’s seeding picture.

While Robinson had strong showings against the Sixers early on in the year, the final two outings were not his best nights. Back in late March, Robinson drained just one of his five shots on the road in Philadelphia.

Regardless of the recent struggles Robinson had against the Sixers, he surely won’t be forgotten about on the court Wednesday night. As long as he avoids any pregame setbacks, Robinson should be good to go for Miami.

The Sixers and the Heat are set to tip-off at 7 PM ET.
