GAMEDAY PREVIEW AND INJURY REPORT: The Milwaukee Bucks play the red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers

The Bucks will have Joe Prunty as interim coach when they take on the Cavaliers.

The Milwaukee Bucks play their first game since the sudden firing of coach Adrian Griffin as they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

The Bucks hit the headlines on Tuesday when it was announced that Griffin had been fired barely seven months after he was hired to replace Mike Budenholzer. Griffin’s firing came while the Bucks were second in the Eastern Conference with a 30-13 record.

Joe Prunty has been named interim head coach.

Back from a 3-game road trip

Milwaukee has just ended a three-game road trip where it went 2-1. The lone loss in that road trip was dealt by Cleveland via a 95-135 blowout. The two wins came at the expense of the Detroit Pistons, who lost to the Bucks twice in three days.

Milwaukee will be playing three straight games at home, and two of those matches will be against Cleveland. The two teams will play each other again on Friday.

The Cavaliers are currently second in the East with a 26-15 record. They are the hottest team in the league right now as they won their last eight games, which is the longest active winning streak in the season.

Milwaukee is 19-4 at home, while Cleveland is 11-7 in away games so far. The two teams are 1-1 in their regular-season series.

The Bucks are 6-4 in their last 10 games, where they averaged 124.4 points a game. Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.9 points and 11.0 rebounds over the last 10 games for Milwaukee.

The Cavaliers are 8-2 in their last 10 games, averaging 120.0 points and giving up just 103.1 points per game.

Injury report

Antetokounmpo (right shoulder contusion) is listed as probable for the Bucks.

Caris LeVert (wrist) is listed as questionable for the Cavaliers. Ty Jerome (ankle), Darius Garland (jaw), and Evan Mobley (knee) will not be available for Cleveland.
