The Milwaukee Bucks had a few days off after losing their first-round series opener against the Miami Heat, 130-117. So, you can understand that a lot of them were feeling antsy and eager to get back on the horse for Game 2 on Wednesday. Jae Crowder says he loves seeing his teammates getting impassioned, preparing for what they hope would be a bounce-back game for their squad.

Wishing there was just one day off

The Bucks know they can play much better against the Heat and are anxious to show it—so much so that Crowder believes some of them wish they didn’t have too much time off between games.

“It was great when you come in the day after that game, and you see the fire in the guys’ eyes, who are wishing we only had one day off instead of two,” said the veteran forward.

Crowder, though, understands that rest and preparation are even more crucial in the NBA Playoffs, where the action is even more intense and physical play is the norm.

“But obviously, they’re just the competitive juices of the guys trying to get rid of the Game 1 feeling—the bad taste, the bad feeling that we had leaving the arena. So we were eager to set the game plan for Game 2 and move forward,” added Crowder.

Crowder has to step up

The Bucks acquired Crowder for this specific time of the year. However, his Bucks playoff debut was a dud, as the Marquette product finished with 2 points and an assist in Game 1. To add insult to injury, the 3-and-D forward missed all four of his three-point attempts. Regardless of whether Giannis Antetokounmpo plays or not, Crowder has to step up for the Bucks.
