Khris Middleton missed his 13th straight game on Friday, and it was a costly one.

Per a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Middleton is no longer eligible to receive a bonus worth $1.5 million after he failed to suit up in Milwaukee’s 122-123 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Middleton needed to play 62 games this season to receive the hefty cash bonus.

Out for 14th-straight game

Playing 62 games this season had appeared doable for Khris this season when he suited up in 43 of the Bucks’ first 51 games. Middleton, however, suffered an ankle injury in a 106-114 loss to the Phoenix Suns on February 6th.

The 12-year has not played since then and is set to miss a 14th-straight game as he was listed out for Milwaukee’s duel with the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Khris’ injury has yet to completely heal

Khris told reporters on Monday that he was still dealing with some swelling on his injured ankle. Khris suffered the injury after landing on Kevin Durant’s foot after taking a jump shot.

“Had a lot of swelling initially when I twisted, or rolled, the ankle. A lot of it has gone out. Just waiting on this last little bit to go, so I can move freely without pain or anything like that,” Middleton said.

In the 43 games that he has played this season, Middleton is averaging 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.3 blocks in 26.3 minutes of playing time per game.
