Malik Beasley joined the 5,000-point club in the Milwaukee Bucks' 126-116 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Malik completed the milestone when he sank a three-pointer off an assist from Giannis Antetokounmpo in the final 1:23 of the game.

With the three-pointer, Beasley, the 19th overall pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2016 NBA Draft, increased his total career points to 5,001. The personal milestone, which came just a few weeks after he recorded his 1,000th career three-pointer, was not talked about that much after the game as the topic focused on the sudden dismissal of Milwaukee coach Adrian Griffin.

A worthy addition

Beasley has been a key contributor in his first season with the Bucks, starting in all 42 games that he has played in the season. The veteran shooter is averaging 11.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 29.4 minutes per contest.

Malik has also been giving the Bucks the much-needed threat from the perimeter as he is shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 47.1 percent from three-point range.

Deadly from the perimeter

Malik had his best scoring game on November 15th when he finished with a season-high 30 points in a 128-112 win over the Toronto Raptors.

The 27-year-old has been hot from three-point range as of late, averaging 2.7 three-pointers over the last 10 games.

With Beasley finding his shooting touch, the Bucks have gone 7-3 in their last 10 games. Milwaukee is on a three-game winning streak and is in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 31-13 record.
