Milwaukee Bucks stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard are working hard to develop their chemistry, so much so that Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes reports the latter has been diligently training and reviewing game footage at the former’s house.

Finding ways to be better

To date, the Giannis-Lillard combo has been a mixed bag. The Bucks currently hold a 4-2 record, albeit the losses have been horrendous ones to teams thought to be inferior to Milwaukee. That said, the two have been excellent together in spurts, but it’s clear there’s plenty of room for improvement.

According to Haynes, the two superstars are working hard because they “are committed to trying to enhance each other collectively.”

“In turn, that's going to enhance the team's play. So, they're doing everything they can behind the scenes to try the make this situation be a successful situation. But it's going to be a work in progress," Haynes said.

Going to take time

Even though the Bucks feature a roster filled with experienced and talented players, there’s no doubt as to who the leaders are: Giannis and Lillard. As such, it’s up to them to set the tone and lead by example. The extra time the two are spending trying work out the kinks of their game should pay off, resulting in more wins for the Bucks later on.

The Bucks’ main rivals in the East, the Boston Celtics, have gotten off to a fast start, winning five games in a row before faltering against Minnesota on Monday. Despite adding new pieces to their core in Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, the Celtics have not missed a beat. The Bucks, on the other hand, look like they need more time to develop the kind of chemistry needed to ascend to the NBA’s peak.

“It's gonna take time, but nobody, no organization, from players to coaches, nobody's worried. But yes, it's gonna take some time,” Haynes added.
