This current Milwaukee Bucks squad still has a championship or two left in them. After all, when you employ a superstar the caliber of Giannis Antetokounmpo, anything is possible. But the Bucks are also in a spot where they will eventually need to find ways to get younger and infuse some new talent into the years to come. To this end, here are two players that could fit the bill for Milwaukee and potentially provide the Bucks with a long-term solution.

Gary Trent Jr.

It remains to be seen whether All-Star wingman Khris Middleton will pick up his player option. If not, the Bucks will be in search of a replacement. Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. would fit this bill nicely. The 24-year-old has been excellent as a starter for the Raptors, averaging 17.4 points while shooting a solid 36% from beyond the arc.

And while he doesn’t bring the same intensity defensively as that of some of Bucks’ guards, the former Duke Blue Devil plays the passing lanes well and is a ball-hawk of the first order, averaging nearly two steals per game this season.

Lonnie Walker IV

Lonnie Walker IV always stays ready, and that mindset will come in handy should he sign with the Bucks. A 6-foot-5 guard out of Miami, Walker IV has seen his minutes and production increase as the years have gone on. However, after signing a one-year deal with the Lakers, his minutes have dipped, especially after the trade deadline binge the team had.

Fortunately for the Lakers, those developments did little to curb Walker’s efficiency, as he is averaging a career-high 44.5 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from deep. While his defensive intensity has been questioned by some, his speed and tenacity allow him to make an impact on that end of the floor.
