After beginning the season with high hopes, the Bulls suffered heartbreaking losses that sent them crashing to the league standings and rumor mill, only to see a significant turnaround they'd been waiting for, the Bulls had a miraculous December that helped them gradually seize recovery. Chicago was dealt a 5-14 card at one time. Following that, they won eight of their following twelve games.

Loving the grit and the current positive path

For some, their recent positive progress might just be considered simple. But for the Bulls, it means the entire world — especially for DeMar DeRozan.

As the lead man of the Bulls, Deebo acknowledged the responsibility that he shoulders for the team's condition. Upon crossing through forgettable beginnings, he can only feel gratified about his and the team's current standing.

“We’ve been resilient,” DeRozan said. “The first part of the season, there was a lot of emotion, a lot of frustration. We dug ourselves out of that hole and found the positivity to lean on — kind of thrust ourselves toward the right direction.”

Continue the winning rally

The work isn't entirely over yet. Amid the best regular season swing they are enjoying, even in the absence of Zach LaVine, the Bulls understand that they have no reason to be complacent.

As of now, the Bulls are residing at the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference. With a 13-18 card, they remain a few games away from reaching the .500 mark.

As such, Deebo maintains his belief that to stretch their winning ways; they must continue relying on the collective push that propelled them to an important skid out of the rocky season start.

“We have to continue to do that, understanding that the last few weeks we’ve been playing together, playing amazing, [that the] positivity, energy, everything has been there,” he said. “[We need to] just come back and feed from that — understand that we can go into the new year with a whole different type of outlook for this team.”
