Teams will always have ups and downs, but Chicago Bulls cannot afford to suffer a lot of defeats as they fight for their lives in this tumultuous season of 2023-24.

Given their abysmal start, the Bulls deserve some credit for being in the Play-In picture with an 18-22 record. However, by conceding that they still have an indefinite route to decide on, the remaining games take on greater significance - particularly the 12 matches remaining until the highly anticipated league trading deadline.

All geared up for the critical moment

As the Bulls enter the crunch time, DeMar DeRozan boldly accepts the challenge to spearhead the way to reach their desired destination.

He has the most uncertain future in the franchise as there have been no clear signs of extension yet from him and Chicago. Amid this, his feelings as a competitor and a leader are intensifying as the urgency to win stands as their utmost goal.

“Let's do it. It's new year, it's a new opportunity coming up on that second half of the season when everything matters,” he said. “I'm not saying it didn't matter before but every single game, every single moment, every single thing from here on out is very critical.”

“You want that as a competitor — to be able to feel that.”

Deebo is itching to face the upcoming challenges with the Bulls

Upon wrapping up their back-to-back homestand, the Bulls will take the road to face three opponents. It would be a tiring journey as following their face-off against the San Antonio Spurs, they'll go back to the East side to face both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors.

For Deebo, it's just a business trip that needs to be settled perfectly.

“I’m looking forward to taking this long-ass flight to San Antonio, play tomorrow, having a day off, get the Cleveland. This is the fun part of the season.”
