Chicago Bulls veteran wingman DeMar DeRozan had a heck of a night in Indiana. He scored 46 points, including eight straight in overtime, to lead the Bulls to an incredible 132-129 win over the Indiana Pacers. Aside from his heroics, DeRozan also made history by moving up on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

With his performance, DeRozan surpassed three legendary players in Elgin Baylor, Dwyane Wade, and Adrian Dantley to enter 32nd place on the all-time scoring list. This milestone is a testament to DeRozan's consistency and longevity in the league, as he has now scored over 23,180 points throughout his career.

A legend in his own right

DeRozan didn’t take long to surpass Los Angeles Lakers legend Elgin Baylor for 34th place, taking that spot with his 16th point. He then passed by Chicago native Wade—whom he considers a close friend and confidante—for the 33rd spot with his 32nd point.

As the game went to overtime, DeRozan continued his torrid scoring and surpassed Dantley for the 32nd spot with his 42nd point of the game.

“I mean, just seeing these names, passing these guys who are so historically embedded in the game of basketball, it never gets old. It’s beyond an honor to have the opportunity to pass these greats. It’s something I never take for granted. It’s a cool thing,” DeRozan said in a recent talk with NBC Sports Chicago.
