The Chicago Bulls are heading to training camp with many questions surrounding the team. Who will play the role of starting point guard? Will Patrick Williams come off the bench or start? One player who adds more intrigue is young guard Coby White, who Bulls insider K.C. Johnson believes is the team's most intriguing player heading to the new season.

Improved player

Although the former North Carolina Tar Heel averaged the fewest points of his young career last season at 9.7 points per game, he showcased other facets of his game, such as improved ballhandling, decision-making, and, most importantly, defense. In fact, the improvements to White's game were so profound that coach Billy Donovan sometimes relied on him to close out ballgames.

"I think he's poised to have an extremely solid season, and I'm intrigued to see his continued growth as a two-way player. By most all accounts, he had his best season last season despite posting his lowest-scoring average," Johnson wrote.

Another jump

Despite his previous success, White was not content. He committed to three more seasons with the Bulls but remains driven for greater achievements. This offseason, the cunning guard relentlessly works towards his ambition of becoming the team's starting point guard - a career milestone he boldly set for himself.

"He put in his offseason work. And between the organization making re-signing him a priority and his off-court personality blossoming last season, him taking another jump wouldn't surprise," Johnson added.
