After failing to secure a contract from the Chicago Bulls, fan-favorite forward Javonte Green is heading west to join the Golden State Warriors. Beloved by the Chicago faithful for his high-energy play and two-way impact on the court, Green will look to bring his game to a Warriors squad looking to add another championship banner.

Injury-plagued season

After a scintillating showing during the 2021-2022 season where he played a significant part of the rotation, averaging 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 23 minutes of action, Green could not replicate that performance due to injuries. Injuries limited him to only 32 games in his third season with the Bulls, where he struggled with just 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.

Santa Cruz Warriors

Though standing at just 6-foot-4, Green aspires to always play larger than his physical stature. He is expected to join the Warriors’ G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
