Regardless of the course and changes that the Chicago Bulls may take following this uneven season, Nikola Vucevic remains committed to the franchise's goals.

“When I sign a deal, I like to stay committed to that,” Vucevic said. “You never know what’s going to happen with this team. They have a lot of decisions to make this summer. That will be on them to decide what happens. Who knows, they could trade me, as well. You never know. But I’m not really thinking about those things.”

Weather the storm

As a free agent during the last offseason, Vooch returned to the Bulls on a three-year contract. The agreement persuaded him to stick with the franchise and contribute to their long-term goals.

However, this season has not gone as smoothly as both parties intended. They had another mediocre campaign plagued with injuries and inconsistencies; currently, the Bulls are sitting in ninth place in the East (31-32). Throughout their problems, the Bulls have been overwhelmed by trade rumors and pressure to begin a full-fledged rebuild.

Despite this, Vooch and the Bulls remained committed to their partnership. In his drive to help the club, the Montenegrin star continues to generate impressive numbers, averaging 18.1 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

Vooch is committed to Chi-Town

Once the season ends, Vucevic understands that the Bulls will make a decision about their direction. But until the ball club comes up with a resolution, Vooch will continue to maintain his loyalty and willingness to help the Bulls achieve the desired goals.

“When the summer happens, then you focus on that. There’s a lot of uncertainty with this team and a lot of questions that need to be answered, guys that need to be dealt with, but we’ll see after that. As far as me personally, I signed a contract, I feel comfortable here, and I feel like there’s room to improve, and I want to be a part of it.”
