The Los Angeles Lakers still have a long way to go in the NBA Playoffs. However, if things go their way until the NBA Finals and they do end up winning the title this season, a championship ring will be given to Chicago Bulls guard Pat Beverley.

The franchise heard him

According to a report by NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Lakers will not hesitate to give Beverley or any other player who was on their roster this season a championship ring if the team goes all the way.

The tenacious guard said in his podcast that both he and former teammate Russell Westbrook want championship rings if the Lakers win it all, and it appears the team’s decision-makers heard them.

Did their part

At the very least, Beverley and Westbrook’s departures brought in numerous players that sparked the Lakers’ late-season turnaround. While they were 25-30 at the trade deadline, they finished the season with a 25-12 surge that helped them snag a spot in the Play-in tournament and eventually, to where they are right now—a win away from the Western Conference Finals.
