A Career-Night For Jarrett Allen, Cavs News

Cleveland Cavaliers: Jarrett Allen record his 6,000th career point.

The Cleveland Cavaliers got back on track with a commanding victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. One player in particular stood out in the win which was Jarrett Allen who even reached a couple of career milestones when it was all said and done.

Allen finished the game with a team-high 17 points and 13 rebounds. Double-doubles have become routine for JA this season as this was the 36th of the season. With this performance, Allen became the 11th player in Cleveland franchise history with this many double-doubles in one season, per @CavsNotes on X.

This wasn’t the only milestone that JA reached against the Hornets. He also surpassed his 6,000th career point in the NBA. This stat was shown on the jumbotron which was followed by a roaring applause by the crowd at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

Allen admitted after the game that he didn’t know what the applause was for but saw his face on the screen along with Tristan Thompson cheering for him. Once it was revealed to JA after the game, he reflected on the journey he’s been on since being drafted.

“Over the years I put in hard work. I tried to build a foundation and every single year grow on top of that and it’s finally paying off,” said Allen.

Cleveland has been searching for any sort of consistency all season. Allen missed the first three - games but has been there for the team ever since then. He’s been a key piece to the team all season and deserves recognition for his individual accolades.
