Center Zubac returning to Clippers on four-year pact
The Los Angeles Clippers are continuing a monumental Saturday, agreeing to a four-year, $28 million deal to bring back center Ivica Zubac, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Early Saturday morning, the Clippers put the NBA landscape on tilt signing free-agent forward Kawhi Leonard and swinging a blockbuster trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder for forward Paul George.
Zubac, 22, acquired by the Clippers from the Los Angeles Lakers along with Michael Beasley in exchange for Mike Muscala at the trade deadline last season, averaged 8.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 17.6 minutes in 59 combined games with the Clippers (33) and the Lakers (26), shooting 55.9 percent from the field and 80.2 percent from the free-throw line.
The 32nd overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Lakers, Zubac carries career averages of 6.9 points and 4.6 boards in three NBA seasons, shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 76.1 percent from the charity stripe.
