Free agent forward Miller headed back to Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans are re-signing forward Darius Miller on a two-year, $14.3 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Miller, 29, has played the last two seasons with the Pelicans, coming back to the NBA after spending two years in Germany. He was the 46th overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky by the Pelicans and played just more than two seasons in New Orleans before heading to Germany in 2015.

In 25.5 minutes in 69 games (15 starts) last season for the Pelicans, Miller averaged 8.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists, shooting 25.5 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from deep and 78.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The 6-foot-8, 225-pound Miller carries career marks of 6.0 points, 1.7 boards and 1.4 dimes in 20.4 minutes in 253 NBA games (28 starts), along with a shooting line of 41.8/38.2/83.0.
