Free agent forward Johnson agrees to deal with Raptors

In their first post-mortem move after losing Kawhi Leonard to the Los Angeles Clippers, the Toronto Raptors have agree to a contract with forward Stanley Johnson.

The deal is a two-year, $7.5 million pact, according to Shams Charania of Stadium, the second season being a player option.

Johnson, 23, played in a combined 66 games last season for the Detroit Pistons (48) and the New Orleans Pelicans (18), averaging 6.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 18.3 minutes, shooting 38.9 percent from the field, 28.8 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 78.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The eighth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons out of Arizona, Johnson has career averages of 7.0 points, 3.4 boards and 1.5 dimes in 21.6 minutes in 285 games (64 starts), along with a shooting line of 37.4/29.3/76.4.
