Nets continue big haul, add Jordan on four-year deal

The Brooklyn Nets added to their big day Sunday, signing center DeAndre Jordan to a four-year, $40 million contract, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Earlier in the day, the Nets agreed to sign both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Wojnarowski also reported both Durant and Irving are both taking less than maximum contracts in order for the Nets to pay Jordan $10 million per season.

Jordan, 30, was acquired by the Knicks from the Dallas Mavericks in the deal for Kristaps Porzingis.

The 6-foot-11, 265-pound Jordan averaged 10.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 blocked shots in 25.9 minutes in 19 games with New York, shooting 63.4 percent from the field and 77.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The 35th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, Jordan carries career averages of 9.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocked shots in 28.2 minutes in 819 games (707 starts), shooting 67.0 percent from the floor and 46.6 percent from the charity stripe.

Jordan was selected to the NBA ALl-Star Game in the 2016-17 season.
