Bosh still seeking NBA job, knows clock is ticking

Two-time NBA champion Chris Bosh wants to return to the NBA, but knows as well as anyone that the clock is ticking on his retirement.

A medical review conducted by the NBA and players’ union in 2017 concluded that Bosh had a career-ending illness. Bosh, who suffers from blood clots, last played in a NBA game on February 9, 2016 with the Miami Heat.

“Yeah, it’s still on my mind,” Bosh told Yahoo Sports of his comeback attempt. “Obviously, if it doesn’t happen by February, I’m not stupid, but yeah, I’m still looking forward to that. I’m still trying to overcome that hump and trying to get something going. I’m looking forward to the challenge. I know I can still play some ball and be a 3-and-D guy for somebody out there.”

Bosh has career averages of 19.2 points and 8.5 rebounds in 893 NBA games. He's an 11-time All-Star and will most likely make the Hall of Fame.

The Toronto Raptors drafted Bosh with the fourth overall pick in the legendary 2003 draft. Bosh spent his first seven seasons as a pro with the Raptors and then joined Dwyane Wade and LeBron James to form the Big Three in Miami in 2010.

Asked by Yahoo Sports if he would join James on the Los Angeles Lakers, Bosh said, "That would be the Laker Show plus the Old-Man Show."
