The Dallas Mavericks are out here warming up by playing one of summer's most popular games.

The Mavericks' Twitter account posted a video of Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., J.J. Barea and Maxi Kleber playing spikeball. Basketball priortizes quick-twitch muscles and fast reactions, so watching the group of Mavs succeed at playing the game was not surprising.

The four seemed to have fun playing spikeball, and the game probably helped provide a cool change of pace to practice.

The Mavericks are currently ranked seventh in the Western Conference and have not officially clinched a playoff berth. They will play their first seeding game July 31 against the Houston Rockets.

The Mavericks are likely to secure a spot with ease, as the ninth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers are 10.5 games behind them. The eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies are seven games behind the Mavericks.

Luka Doncic is poised to earn his first playoff appearance, and his smooth handle and scoring prowess should help him continue to ball out in the postseason.

Doncic has grown exponentially in his second season, posting career-highs in points per game (28.7), rebounds per game (9.3), assists per game (8.7) and field goal percentage (46.1%).

Kristaps Porzingis also has his first postseason appearance on the horizon. Porzingis has scored 19.2 points a game and grabbed a career-best 9.5 rebounds per game this season.
