Grizzlies' Evans is prepared if he's dealt

One of the many names being tossed around as a potential trade target for contending teams is TyrekeEvans of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Speaking to The Commercial Appeal, Evans, an unrestricted free agent after this season, remains pretty chill in regards to his name being mentioned in the NBA's rumor mill.

"I know it's a business, I just gotta come to work and to what I do every day. That's out of my hands, whether they keep me or they trade me, I'm going to come in every day, work hard and just get better."

The 28-year-old Evans is one of the biggest bargains in the league this season. Having signed a one-year pact with the Grizzlies for $3.3 million July 10, Evans is averaging 19.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 50. assists and 1.0 steals in 31.2 minutes in 45 games, only 26 of which he's started, for Memphis this season.

The performance of the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder out of the University of Memphis has certainly put his name front and center on the wish list of more than a few teams.

"Yeah, definitely, no doubt about it," Evans, a nine-year pro, said. "A lot of people doubted me. No one expected me to come back and play the way I've been playing.

"I'm finally healthy and teams see that, Memphis sees that so whatever happens, happens."
