Kings convert Gabriel's contract to standard deal

The Sacramento Kings have converted forward Wenyen Gabriel's two-way contract to a standard deal, with Gabriel earning the final roster spot, according to James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area.

Gabriel, 22, is a 6-foot-9 and a native of Sudan. He went undrafted out of Kentucky in 2018 spent most of last season in the G League with the Stockton Kings. He averaged 4.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in four preseason games with Sacramento.

The Kings also claimed small forward/shooting guard DaQuan Jeffries off waivers from the Orlando Magic and signed him to a two-way contract. Rookie guard Kyle Guy has the Kings' other two-way deal.
